Dr Manuja Premaratne is a Cardiologist who specialises in Advanced Cardiac Imaging and is one of only a few in Australia with formal training and expertise in all cardiac imaging modalities. He is the Head of Cardiac Imaging at Peninsula Health and has a faculty appointment at Monash University.
Dr Manuja Premaratne completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland. Following his general cardiology training, he undertook an Echocardiography Fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital, one of Australia’s busiest units. This was followed by a 2 year Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Canada’s largest cardiac program, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, where he trained in Cardiac CT, MRI and nuclear SPECT and PET cardiology.
