Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) is an abnormal heart rhythm that can originate from Ventricles.

During VT the ventricles can contract at over 200bpm. This leads to palpitations, dizziness, low blood pressure and sometimes syncope.

VT can occur in patients with normal hearts, this is called Idiopathic VT. In this situation they are usually caused by a small nest of abnormally firing tissue rather than a circuit.
